Description

6-8 Bloomgate in Lanark is an early 19th-century building featuring two storeys and an attic with four windows. The exterior is finished in painted stucco with raised margins. The ground floor has shop fronts dating from around 1900, with a central door on the left and a door in the right bay that includes Art Nouveau details. The building has an eaves course and three dormers, two of which are canted and gabled, while one is flat-topped. The roof is covered with slate, and there is a rear stair turret associated with No 8.
