Description
1A Old Bridgend in Kirkfieldbank is possibly a late 17th century house that has undergone later alterations. It is a 2-storey and attic structure with a rectangular plan and a steeply pitched roof, featuring the remnants of a pigeon loft in the east gable. The building is constructed of random rubble with ashlar dressings and has long and short quoins. The principal southwest elevation displays irregular fenestration with ashlar window margins. The glazing is non-traditional, and there are remains of a stack on the east gable. The roof has ashlar-coped skews and is covered with grey slates, with skylights located on the northeast side.
