Description
Maybole West Parish Manse, designed by architect George Meikle Kemp around 1840, is a single storey and attic, three-bay manse. The building is constructed of snecked stugged ashlar with polished dressings and features chamfered door and window reveals. The central door is topped with a fanlight and hood-mould, and there is a plaque inscribed with the word "Peace." The ground floor has bipartite windows, and the attic features windows in projecting gabled bays. The central attic window is corbelled out and set within a shaped gable that has a blank crest topped with a ball finial. The outer gables display crosses, and the building has straight skews with gablets, corniced end stacks, and a slate roof. There is also a rear wing.
