Description
5 and 7 Whitehall in Maybole is an earlier 19th-century building featuring two storeys and four bays. The exterior is finished with painted render and dressings, complemented by rusticated quoins. The inner two bays are slightly set forward and topped with a cornice above three doors, the central one being round-headed. To the left, there is a shop door flanked by windows, while the right side has two 12-pane sash windows. A continuous band course runs above the ground floor. The first floor has four 12-pane sash windows, and the building is topped with an eaves course, cornice, and a blocking course. There is a central wall-head stack stump, along with end stacks, and the roof is covered with slate.
