Maybole West Parish Church, Coral Hill, Maybole

Maybole West Parish Church, designed by architect George Meikle Kemp, was built between 1836 and 1840. This T-plan church is constructed from rubble with ashlar dressings. It features a round-headed central door with moulded reveals in each gable, which are complemented by tall triple round-headed lights. On the northeast gable, there is a corbelled and finialled square birdcage bellcote. To the left of the northeast door, there is a war memorial plaque. Each flank wall has two tall round-headed windows, all of which are fitted with simple lattice patterned leaded glass panels. The church has shaped skews and a slate roof. A low session house is located to the southwest, accessed through a gabled and buttressed porch on the northwest side.
