Description

This building is a tall stone pillar located on Isle Of Pin Road in Troon. It dates back to the mid-18th century but was rebuilt in the early 20th century. The pillar has a circular plan and is constructed from rubble sandstone and whinstone, featuring heavy pointing. It includes red brick detailing in a billet frieze beneath a plain cornice. At the top, there is a three-tier circular-plan stepped rubble cap that supports a wind vane.
