Description
Norse Mill in Vementry is a horizontal mill built in the later 19th century, located by a stream from Hostigates Loch. It follows the standard design of having an upper house and a lower house, with the millstone situated in the upper house and the tirl in the lower house. The walls are made of red granite rubble. The gables are on the east and west sides, featuring a vertically-boarded timber door in the west gable. There is an inlet to the upper house on the left side of the north elevation and an outlet from the lower house on the right side of the south elevation.
