Description
The Fishing Station in Stenness is a 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay gabled former trading booth that is now roofless. Its walls are made of red sandstone and granite rubble. The principal (west) elevation features a doorway at the center, with a blank bay to the left and a small window in the right bay. Above the small window, there is a larger window.
On the north elevation, there is a small window to the left in the gable head, and a square vent infilled with rubble is centered at ground floor level, with a window to the left on the first floor. Inside, there are fireplaces centered in the gables on the upper floor, with rubble apex stacks that have stone copes.
