Description

9 and 11 Bridge Street in Kelso is an early 19th century building that stands two stories tall with an attic and features a five-bay front facing Bridge Street. The ground floor was altered in the later 19th century to accommodate a shop, which is rendered and has a timber cornice and fascia above it. The first-floor windows have raised margins and ashlar angle-margins, with straight skews. The roof is slated, and the south gable is harled with a brick stack. At the rear, there is a two-story and attic rubble wing that becomes three stories at the west end, also with slated roofs.
