Description
37 West Port in Selkirk is an early 19th century terraced house that has undergone later additions and alterations. It is a two-storey building with three bays and features painted render on its exterior.
The northwest elevation, facing West Port, has irregularly arranged bays. There is a modern partly glazed door in the center at ground level, with a window above it on the first floor. To the left at ground level, there is another window, and each of the flanking bays has a window on both floors.
The southeast elevation was not visible in 1996. The ground floor has four-pane timber sash and case windows, while the first floor features plate glass timber sash and case windows. The house has a slate roof and a brick mutual stack on the southwest side.
The interior was not seen in 1996.
