Description
The Walled Garden at Paxton House likely dates from the late 18th century, with some later alterations. It has a near square shape, covering approximately 10,000 square meters, and features a chamfered corner to the southwest. The tall walls are primarily made of pink rubble sandstone with squared coping, while the southern outer elevation is constructed from red brick. The garden includes weathered droved sandstone quoins and droved long and short surrounds around the openings, with timber doors. The inner linings are partly made of red brick, and there are no remaining elements of a formal layout.
