Description
Oatleycleugh is a house built in the later 18th century to early 19th century, with some later alterations and additions. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure made of whinstone, featuring droved red sandstone dressings and some later render repairs. The building has flush quoins.
On the south elevation, the bays are arranged regularly. There is a later boarded door in the center at ground level, with a window above it on the first floor. Each of the flanking bays has a window on both floors.
The north elevation features an advanced bay to the left, with a window at ground level in the center.
On the east elevation, there is a window on the first floor to the right. There is a later projection to the north that includes a boarded door with a glazed upper section to the left, and a window above it on the first floor, along with a flanking window at ground level on the right.
The house has 12-pane timber sash and case windows, brick gablehead stacks, coped skews, and a slate roof.
Inside, the first floor has working shutters in place. The original rear door remains, but it is now internal due to the later projection to the north.
