Description

The Dovecot at Burnhouse is an early 19th-century structure. It is a roofless circular dovecote made of roughly coursed whinstone and sandstone rubble, featuring sandstone ashlar dressings. There is a string course, which serves as a landing ledge, located at mid-height, and a mutulated cornice that acts as a landing perch. On the south side, there is a doorway with a 7-hole pigeon port situated above it.
