Description

The Watch House, located in the Old Churchyard on High Street in Eyemouth, was built in 1849. This small building features a slated roof and is constructed almost entirely from fragments of tombstones, many of which are elaborately carved. The churchyard has recently been cleared of tombstones, which have been re-erected against the walls. In the center of the churchyard, there is a memorial dedicated to 189 fishermen who were lost at sea in October 1881.
