Description
The bridge over Ettrick Water at Ettrickshaws Country House Hotel was built in 1891 by P & W MacLellan Ltd and cast at the Cultha Works in Glasgow. It features a two-span lattice truss design that runs north to south, with the main span crossing the Ettrick Water and a smaller side span to the south. The bridge is made of steel, painted in burgundy and white, and has a timber deck along with cast-iron date plaques. It includes angle side braces at intervals and has concrete abutments with light handrails.
