Description
Cowdenknowes House is a 16th-century mansion that originally comprised three distinct parts: a tower, a mansion dated 1574, and a small tower that is now in ruins. These elements were originally linked by curtain walls, which enclosed a courtyard that is now used as open gardens. A modern wing has been added to connect the tower with the mansion house.
