Description
This building is a house located to the north of the farmsteading at Drygrange House, constructed around 1890 by architects G H Kinnear and J M Dick Peddie. It is a single-storey and basement structure with a rectangular plan, featuring three bays and positioned on steeply sloping ground to the north. The exterior is made of red sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings.
The house has dormer-headed windows with pediments that break the eaves. A timber panelled door is set within a pilastered doorcase at the first floor, accessible by a forestair leading to the centre bay. The corners of the building are accentuated with in-and-out quoins.
Most of the timber sash and case windows have 12-pane glazing. The roof is slated, with end stacks and stone skews.
