South West Range, Southern Farmsteading, Nervelstone House

The North East Range of Southern Farmsteading at Nervelstone House is a house dated 1835, which incorporates a lintel from 1731. It is built from rubble with ashlar dressings, with the dressings on the house painted. The house has two storeys and three bays, featuring an off-centre, basket-arched door with pilasters and a fanlight, set within a pilastered doorpiece that has a date inscribed on the frieze. Above this door is a narrow first-floor window. The right bay is wider and has a later canted window, while the remaining windows contain 12-pane sash frames. The house features an eaves course and cornice, with end stacks and a slate roof.

To the south, there is a single storey and attic block that includes two bipartite windows and two doors, along with two piended, canted dormers. One of the doors has a dated lintel in the single storey wing beyond, which also contains a dovecot in the south gable. Additionally, there are three gabled, single storey, rectangular blocks to the south and southeast, arranged in a U-plan, all with slate roofs. A walled garden is located to the west, featuring a small figure in a recess above the south gate.
