Description
49 Causeyside Street is a four-storey tenement building, likely constructed in the early 20th century, and is part of a row of tenements. The ground floor features shops, while the upper three floors are arranged in a symmetrical three-bay layout. The outer bays are shallow-bowed with narrow mullions, and there are paired inner wall-head stacks with projecting chimney breasts that are connected by wide-mullioned bipartite windows in the center. The building is made of ashlar and retains mostly original glazing, including small-paned upper sashes. The roof is concealed by parapets, and there are stacks at both ends.
