Inchgarvie House, Clevans Road, Bridge Of Weir

Inchgarvie House, located on Clevans Road in Bridge Of Weir, is a white harled Arts and Crafts villa designed by architect John A Campbell around 1905. The building features an asymmetrical gabled main front and stands two stories tall, with the first floor corbelled and slightly projecting. The front has three bays, with the right bay boldly advanced and gabled. The ground floor has tripartite windows, while the first floor has bipartite windows. The central bay includes a recessed doorway with a panelled door that has egg and dart moulding. Above the door is a single window with a segmental pediment. To the left, there are bipartite windows, with the one on the first floor set in the gablehead. All windows are sash and case with 12-pane glazing.

On the east elevation, there is a projecting square oriel with corner glazing and a low swept individual roof. The house features deep bracketed eaves and bargeboards on the gables, along with tall corniced stacks and steeply pitched slate roofs.

Inside, there are some original details on the doors and chimneypieces, a good simple staircase, and a vestibule door that reflects a Mackintoshesque style.
