Description
Auchensale Bridge is a late 19th century single-arched road bridge with a segmental span over the Locher Water. It features an unusual brick soffit and red Dumfriesshire ashlar voussoirs. The parapets and haunches are built from rubble, likely remnants of an earlier bridge, based on the masonry. The east parapet is damaged at the southern end.
