Description

Pitfour Doocot, built around 1730, is a rectangular, two-compartment lean-to structure made of rubble. It features crowstepped gables with a stepped rat-course and has a three-gable finish on the back wall. The entrances are located in the gables, and the design is similar to that of Newbigging and Waterybutts. The doocot is roofed but has been significantly affected by subsidence.
