Description

6 Ardtrasgairt Cottages in Fortingall were built by Dunn and Watson around 1900. These are single-storey and attic cottages, with No. 6 (to the right) stepped down to a lower level. The cottages feature rubble stone walls that are roughly squared and tooled, with long and short margins. They have thatched roofs, with the thatch extending over the wallhead attic windows, creating rounded dormerheads in the English style. The dormers were added after the 1920s, and the cottages also have ridge and gablehead chimney stacks.
