Description
The stable block, built around 1907 by James B Dunn, is a single-story U-shaped building designed in a 17th-century Scots style. The exterior is harled, featuring crowstep gables with beaked skews and a slated roof. A projecting central jamb with a piend roof is located on the south elevation. Simple piers and an enclosing wall mark the entrance to the north court.
On the courtyard elevation, the east side (left) has a pair of sliding doors providing vehicular access, along with a door to the left and two small eight-pane windows to the south. The west (domestic) range has a single window to the right. The exterior western elevation of this range features a series of six-pane windows, with two-pane top hoppers, and a stack rises above the wallhead between the first and second bays. Catslide slated ventilators and small skylights are present within the west range.
To the southeast, a detached rectangular double garage block with a jerkin roof, also contemporary, has a pair of original double boarded doors with eight-pane glazing above. This stable block is distinct from a previous listed building.
