Description
Balnacraig is a large late Victorian Scots baronial mansion house built around 1896. The main block is two stories high and constructed of red sandstone, with a set-back southeast wing. The west front features a corbelled turret that is square and gabled at the north, along with a projecting gable that has a canted bay, also corbelled to square and gabled. There are balustered parapets situated between the dormer heads. The south front includes a first-floor oriel bay and a canted ground floor bay, as well as a circular turret in the re-entrant angle topped with a conical roof. At the entrance on the north side, there is a single-storey quadrant made of banded ashlar, which has a balustraded parapet.
