Description

Gilmerton Church House, located on Glen Road in Gilmerton, is a building constructed from red rubble with white sandstone dressings. It features a mid-pointed side tower porch topped with a stone broach spire and has inscribed panels at the doorway. Inside, there is an arched ceiling supported by tie-rods and central hangers. The building was designed by J. J. Stevenson, who was associated with Campbell Douglas & Stevenson in Glasgow and later worked in Bayswater, London, and it was completed in 1869.
