Fetteresk, Back Street, Bridge Of Earn

Fetteresk is a two-storey building with an attic, dated 1800, located on Back Street in Bridge of Earn. It features a well-preserved five-bay tenement with a dated oval panel in the wallhead gable. The building is flanked by a two-storey, two-bay dwelling and a later two-storey, two-bay shop and dwelling, situated on what was once the main route through the village. The construction includes large blocks of red sandstone ashlar and roughly squared, coursed red sandstone rubble on the outer bays, with some droved window dressings.

The entrance elevation is symmetrical, facing west, with a gablehead stack at the center of the wallhead gable. There is a part-glazed timber door at the center, flanked by later windows that were altered from doors. A canted dormer window is positioned over the outer left bays. The rear elevations have been altered.

The building features a 4-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows with horns on the first floor and gablehead, while non-traditional modern glazing is used elsewhere. The roof is covered with grey slates, and the gable and ridge stacks are made of coped ashlar, complete with thackstanes and some cans.
