Farm, Langskaill Old Manse, Westray

Langskaill Old Manse is an early 19th century U-plan farm constructed from flagstone rubble, featuring alternate canted corner stones as quoins, with some remnants of harling.

The south-facing range includes a gable wall on the west range with a window to the left and a gable apex stack. The right return has a window on the far left, one door on the right flank, a blocked door to the right, and another door on the far right with flanking windows. The central single-storey range has a window to the far left and a flanking door to the right. There is a door to the right with flanking windows. The east range has a pitched outshot and a two-storey barn behind it, featuring a door on the left return, a window on the right, and two first-floor windows. A shed attached to the barn is set back to the far right, with a large opening to the left and a blocked opening to the right.

The north-facing range has a window to the right and a two-storey barn gable to the left, with a ground floor window and a loft door above. The west-facing range has a blocked central window and a window to the left. The east-facing range features a large door inserted into the outshot to the left and a large sliding door to the barn. The elevation of the outshot is plain, with an owl hole in the apex.

The roofs are pitched and covered with Caithness slate, while asbestos sheeting covers holes at the rear range. The west end has a north pitch and some rooflights. The interiors were not seen in 2000.
