Description

18th century with later alterations. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay symmetrical, rectangular-plan, crowstep-gabled town house with full-height, pitch-roofed bay to centre; gabled NE elevation to street; small rectangular-plan garden to NW. Harled.

NW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: window at each floor to advanced central bay; modern, timber panelled door with letterbox fanlight at ground in left return. Window at each floor in each bay flanking.

NE (SIDE) ELEVATION: window at each floor (including attic) offset to right of centre; gablehead stack above.

2-pane timber sash and case windows; 3 small, evenly disposed rooflights to NW pitch. Grey slate roof; red clay ridge; stone skews to porch; harled corniced stacks to NE and SW; thack-stanes; predominantly cast-iron rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1998.

BOUNDARY WALLS: low, cement rendered and lined wall with ridged ashalr cope, enclosing rectangular-plan garden to NW; replacement decorative wrought-iron railings.
