Description

St Mary's Church in South Ronaldsay is a church built around 1790. It has a rectangular plan and features crowstep gables, along with a simple crowstepped bellcote that houses a bell at the west gable. The exterior is made of harled rubble, and it has timber-framed windows. The roof is a mixture of Welsh and local slate. The interior was recast in 1896 and includes timber pews, a panelled pulpit, and memorial stones.

The churchyard features a gabled gateway built in 1830 and contains several gravestones from the 17th century.
