Description

Later to late 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay symmetrical laird's house with long single storey projection to rear (W) forming L-plan; later lean-to addition to internal angle. Harled. Windows set close under eaves.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: window in pitched-roofed entrance porch at ground in bay to centre; boarded door in left return; window at 1st floor above. Window at each floor in each bays flanking.

W (REAR) ELEVATION: 2 windows with boarded door to left of lean-to addition in bays to left; small, centred window at 1st floor of main house above. Centred window in lean-to addition at right angles to long projection to left; blank gable above.

N (SIDE) ELEVATION: window at each floor, offset to right, to main gable; gablehead stack above. Centred boarded door to projection. Window to left. Doorway (blocked) to right.

S (SIDE) ELEVATION: window at each floor, offset to left, to main gable; gablehead stack above. 5-bay projection to left with 3 boarded doors and 2 windows.

Predominantly 4-pane timber sash and case windows. Purple slate roof; corrugated-iron to lean-to to internal angle and to entrance porch; traditional flagstone roof to W lean-to; stone ridges; harled, corniced gablehead stacks; coped skews; predominantly uPVC rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1998.
