Description

Cumbernauld House is a fine classic mansion built in the 18th century. The main block has two storeys and a basement, accompanied by a two-storey north wing, while the south wing has not been constructed. At the rear, there is a semi-octagonal bay that dates back to 1731. The architect William Adam designed the house, which was gutted and internally reconstructed around 1870.
