Kirkhill House, Netherton, Wishaw

Kirkhill House in Netherton, Wishaw, dates from around 1850 and is a single and two-storey gabled cottage. It features an advanced gabled bay on the left, with crowstepped gables topped by obelisk finials. The building is constructed from coursed yellow sandstone and has projecting cills along with stugged hoodmoulding above the openings.

On the south elevation, the advanced gabled bay to the left includes a window on the ground floor and a smaller window at the gablehead. There is a gabled entrance porch facing right, which contains a timber door with a fanlight above. To the right of the bay, there is another window, with a dormer that breaks the eaves above.

The north elevation has an advanced gabled offices wing on the right, which is connected to a smaller advanced wing on the left. The west elevation displays a gable end with irregular fenestration, while the east elevation also features a gable end with a single window in the upper storey.

The house has modern double glazing, grey slate roofing, coped stacks, and cast-iron rainwater goods. The interior is plain.
