Description
Rockhaven is a mid to later 18th century house, extended in the mid-19th century. The original house is harled with ashlar margins, with a rendered and painted west gable and margins. Access is via a low extension to the east. The north wall has a small square opening, and the west gable features three windows on each floor, along with a single dormer. Corniced end stacks are present. The west elevation of the 19th-century extension is of polished ashlar, with rubble-built sections and ashlar margins elsewhere. This extension includes architraves to the door and windows, a consoled pediment over the door in the low linking bay, and a pedimented dormer head above one of the windows. A taller, three-bay canted wing is situated to the right. The 1855 Ordnance Survey map shows the extension, which is described as having no particular architectural interest.
