Description

The Malt Barn at Glenromach Distillery, located on Waterford Road in Forres, dates from around 1890. This three-storey building features a 12-bay design made of whitewashed brick, with regular window arrangements. Each bay is marked by brick pilaster strips. The windows have segmental heads, with 12-pane sash windows in the gables and 6-pane windows with shuttering on the lower sections of the long elevations. The roof is covered with West Highland slate. A modern sliding door is present on the eastern gable. Inside, each floor is supported by 11 pairs of cast-iron pillars.
