Description
Speyburn Distillery, built in 1897, is a three-storey, seven-bay malt barn featuring long elevations on the north and south sides, with a malt kiln attached to the east gable. The structure is constructed of rubble with tooled ashlar dressings, and the malt barn is harled rubble.
The malt floors on both the north and south elevations have regular segmental-headed windows, with smaller windows providing light to the first and second floors. The roof is slate and includes a square ventilator. The square kiln has a slated piended ogee roof and is topped with a leaded pagoda cupola.
