Description

William Robertson, 1823. 2-storey bowed angle block (No 12

The Square) flanked right by 2-storey, 3-bay house (Nos 38,

40 Seafield Street) and left by similar dwelling (Nos 8, 10

The Square). Harl pointed rubble, contrasting painted tooled

ashlar margins.

Ground floor of centre bowed bay much altered with modern

shop front. 3-bay centre angle slightly recessed and defined

by margins (mirroring Nos 7, 9 The Square opposite). Single

centre entrance to Nos 8, 10. Centre regular 1st floor

fenestration; varied glazing. End and ridge corniced stacks;

slate roofs, bowed and piended at angle.
