Description

Netherbyre is a house dating from the 1820s and 1830s. It is a single-story building with an attic, originally featuring five bays. The exterior is harled (roughcast), with decorative ashlar stone dressings. The central door is surrounded by Y-tracery detailing on a pointed-headed window, with some windows featuring this detail and others appearing to be blind. Some original multi-pane glazing remains in the windows. The roof is a shallow piended slate covering, with a pair of chimney stacks rising from the ridge. Two large, modern dormers have been added to the roof.
