Description
No. 63 is a pair of symmetrical, single-storey cottages located in Whitemire Village, Darnaway, built in the later 19th century by A and W Reid. The cottages feature a rubble construction with tooled ashlar dressings. Each cottage has a central door that is sheltered by a gabled porch supported by paired rustic columns, although the front pair is missing and has been replaced with inferior columns at No. 62. The cottages have 8-pane glazing, coped end and ridge stacks, and a slate roof with projecting eaves. There are modern bathroom additions at the rear.
