Description

53 South Guildry Street in Elgin is a house built around 1860, consisting of two dwellings over two stories and featuring five bays. The exterior is made of tooled, sneck coursed rubble with rubble flanks and tooled ashlar dressings. The entrances are recessed in alternate bays, each with a panelled door. There are three windows on the first floor, each with 8-pane glazing. The house has corniced end stacks and a slate roof that includes modern loft roof lights. Additionally, there is a single-storey, two-bay porch at the south gable of No. 53.
