Description

The Steading and Stables at Edinglassie Mains date from 1855 and possibly 1857. This structure features a wide, south-facing U-plan steading range, with slightly later freestanding stables located in the center of the courtyard. The building is constructed from mixed granite rubble with tooled granite dressings. On the west elevation of the west arm of the courtyard, there are four shallow segmental-headed cart bays. The apices of the building are topped with ball finials, and the roofs are primarily slated, with a piended roof on the stables.
