Description

Glass Parish Church, originally built in 1791 and renovated by Reid of Elgin, underwent a significant T-plan addition and general remodelling in 1883-1884, with further work by J. Robertson of Inverness in 1903. The original church is rectangular and features a bellcote, with harled walls and margins. The south front has four windows that were checked for shutters, with later semi-elliptically arched heads and inserted tracery. The font was designed by Sir R.S. Lorimer, and the stained glass was created by Douglas Strachan. The church also houses a Burgerhuys bell from 1642 that has been recast.
