Description

This is an early 19th-century bridge spanning Redside Burn, located at Carrington Mill. The bridge is a single span with a round arch, constructed from tooled coursed sandstone. The arch itself is faced with polished stone. The bridge has slightly splayed wing walls on either side. The parapets have been removed. The bridge is shown on both the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map of 1852 and the 2nd edition Ordnance Survey map of 1892.
