Description

The Upperside Lime Kiln in Toxside is an earlier 19th-century draw-kiln with a square plan, facing south. It is constructed from red sandstone rubble, featuring contrasting long and short polished ashlar quoins. A later addition includes a yellow brick parapet. The kiln has round arched openings on the west, south, and east sides, with grey brick interiors and arch rings, complemented by curved wing walls.
