Description
The Church of Scotland Manse in Daviot was built between 1840 and 1850, possibly as a remodelling of an earlier house. It is a two-storey building with a dormerless attic and features a wide three-bay design. The southwest entrance front is constructed of coursed rubble, while the flanks and rear are made of random rubble with harl pointing, accented by tooled ashlar margins and dressings.
The centre bay is slightly advanced and gabled, featuring an entrance with a rectangular fanlight and a double leaf panelled door. There are long flanking bipartite windows, and the first floor has single sash windows with thick wooden mullions. All front windows have margined multi-pane glazing. The building has single windows on the ground and first floors in the return gables, along with a smaller centre attic window, all fitted with 12-pane glazing. The front gablet is corniced, and there are prominent skewputts and saw-tooth skews, topped with slate roofs.
Additionally, there is a contemporary single-storey, two-bay rear wing.
