Borrodale House, Arisaig

Borrodale House in Arisaig is a building from the later 18th century and early 19th century, likely incorporating earlier elements, with minor alterations made around 1864. It features a long, two-storey and attic, six-bay south-facing range that is entirely covered in white harling. The building has projecting lean-to porches connected by a continuous slated canopy that covers the entrances in the second and fifth bays. There are four large piended wallhead dormers, which probably date from 1864, and the windows mainly consist of 12-pane glazing.

A semi-circular outshot with a bowed piended slated roof conceals the entrance and staircase to the first floor in the west gable. Additionally, a long single-storey byre range extends from the east gable, and there is a further single-storey, two-bay extension that projects at the rear. The building has end, ridge, and rear wallhead stacks, all featuring exaggerated copes from around 1864, and it is topped with slate roofs.
