Description
The Ice House on Quay Street in Portree, Skye, is an early to mid 19th century single vaulted commercial icehouse that has been later converted into a warehouse and raised by one storey. The building is constructed of rubble and features a blocked central door on the street-facing gable, with a hoist entrance located on the first floor above. There is also a hoist door on the second floor gable end, and two vents are present on each side elevation. The roof is covered with slate.
