Description

Cantray Bridge, dated 1774, is a two-arched rubble bridge featuring a small third flood arch that spans the north shore. The arch rings are made of tooled ashlar. The flood arch has been repaired with iron stays and has a modern corrugated lining. The bridge includes stumpy triangular cutwaters and a tooled ashlar parapet with splayed approaches, along with some modern repairs. There is a plaque and a re-used panel located in the center spandrel on the west side.
