Description
Kerrysdale is an earlier 19th century, two-storey, three-bay house. The exterior is harled and painted, with a tooled, margined centre door facing south. The first-floor windows are smaller than those on the ground floor. The windows have 12-pane glazing. A stair window is visible at the rear. The building has corniced end stacks and a slate roof. A later wing was added to the rear.
Nearby is a cruck-framed hay and threshing barn. Five of the original six pairs of cruck blades survive, having been sawn off above the tie beam to accommodate new roof trusses. The barn's cruck blades are unjointed, which is unusual for Wester Ross, where they are typically jointed at wallhead height. The barn measures 65 feet by 17 feet 6 inches.
