Description
This building is a goods shed constructed around 1897 for the Lanarkshire and Dumbartonshire Railway. It is made of brick with contrasting red brick dressings, featuring piers that define six bays. The structure has wide gables on the east and west sides, with an engine entry on the south and a smaller arched opening on the north. There are oculi in the gable heads. The clearly defined bays have arched openings, and all windows on the south side open onto a platform, which is sheltered by a roof that sweeps over to form a canopy. The roof is made of concrete tiles.
